The Usual Suspects have been performing together for 6 years, developing a reputation as one of the most diverse and entertaining live bands for special events. We would like to tell you more about the band by first telling you about the fabulous lead singer, Ms. Cassandra Vaughn!! A professional singer since 1986, Cassandra is a tremendously gifted performer whose dynamic range and soulful stylings make her one of L.A.’s hot female vocalists. Cassandra makes every performance one to remember. From crooning French classics on New Years Eve at Twin Palms to swinging pop standards for the Millenium Celebration at the Wrigley Mansion on Catalina Island, she invites the audience to share in the fun. Whether it’s Jazz and “torch” songs of the 30’s and 40’s, Pop, Motown/R & B, Funk or Country, she moves through each genre with breathtaking ease. Her performance is always passionate, playful and full of life! Recently returning from a year in Vienna, Cassandra experienced first-hand how music truly is a “universal language”. Invited to perform at the birthday celebration of the Mayor of Vienna, she received a standing ovation at the end of the evening! Corporate event venues took her to some of the most beautiful museums in Europe, some as far away as Croatia. Fronting her own group in Vienna, she was asked to be the in-house entertainment for one of Europe’s largest corporations – The Siemens Group, for all of their European events. Cassandra has performed jazz standards at the Ambassador Hotel in the heart of Vienna’s Kartnerstrasse (the Rodeo Drive of Vienna) and the “Summer Jazz Series” at the Kursalon – a glorious building that in it’s previous incarnation was a health spa during the 1800’s! And now she is back in sunny Southern California, entertaining many with her group her, The Usual Suspects at many corporate events, exclusive clubs and private parties. Cassandra in her free time also manages to do a stunning tribute to Cher!! She sounds EXACTLY like Cher!! The musicians of The Usuals Suspects are the “cream of the crop” of the LA music scene. They are many of the musicians that you hear on the radio and see on tour with artists such as Al Jerreau, The Temptations, Ice T, Uncle Kracker, The Motels, Chuck Berry and many others. The band is comprised of Bill on Keyboards, Otis on Drums and vocals, Bill on guitars and the leader of the band, Kevin on bass and lead vocals. Together, all of these fine musicians are eager to please and would be happy to make your party, wedding, special event or concert performance a memorable experience for everyone.
